Preclinical and translational research

Our preclinical imaging unit aims to improve diagnostic imaging by evaluating the usage of newly developed PET tracers in different experimental settings, and to translate and introduce new radiopharmaceuticals into the clinic.

Various in vivoex vivo, and in vitro biological models are used at the earliest possible stage to assess the suitability of candidate molecules as new PET radiopharmaceuticals and allowing for tracers of less promise to be halted in the early stages of development.
