Oncological Research

The well-established role of PET in diagnosis and staging of a variety of cancers entails continuous research to keep in pace with advances in instrumentation and tracer development. The goal is to assess new hybrid imaging technologies and acquisition protocols with standard and recently introduced clinical tracers to increase clinical impact and diagnostic accuracy.

Our oncological research also includes development of theranostic approach in cancer treatment and investigating radiolabelled ligands for molecular targets such as immune cell interactions, antibody fragments, and small-molecule inhibitors. Also, studies on tumour microenvironment for guiding biologically planned adaptive radiotherapy are ongoing.
